Pre-Packed School Supply Kit Frequently Asked Questions

 

What is a Pre-Packed School Supply Kit? Does it include every item on my child's school supply list?

Pre-Packed School Supply Kits are back-to-school supply shopping made easy! We gather official school supply lists from dozens of area schools, and then put all of the items your child needs together into one box. Any Pre-Packed School Supply Kit you purchase from us will have all of the items needed for your child's grade, according to the official supply list published by your child's school. This saves parents a lot of time; no more driving around to multiple stores to find everything that's needed!

Note: Once the school year begins, some teachers might request additional items specific to their class. These items would be supplies outside of the official, published school supply list for your child's grade.

 

If my child's supply list includes a nap mat, is that included?

Yes. If your child's school lists a nap map as a supply needed for their grade, that is included as part of your Pre-Packed School Supply Kit.

 

How do I pick up my child's Pre-Packed School Supply Kit?

Every school has a choice of one delivery option. Many schools ask us to deliver all of the Pre-Packed School Supply Kits to the school in order to have them there and ready to be picked up either on Registration Day or the first day of school. Some schools designate that Kits need to be picked up from a specific Knowledge Tree store or shipped directly to your home. Your specific delivery method will be noted in red when adding a Pre-Packed School Supply Kit to your cart as well as show on your confirmation email.

 

Can I pick up my child’s Pre-Packed School Supply Kit at a Knowledge Tree store location?

Unless your child's school has selected Store Pick-Up, you will not be able to pick up your child's Pre-Packed School Supply Kit from a Knowledge Tree store. Your delivery method will be noted in red when adding a Pre-Packed School Supply Kit to your cart as well as show on your confirmation email.

 

Why do I need to enter my child’s name on a Pre-Packed School Supply Kit order?

No matter if a Pre-Packed School Supply Kit is being delivered to your child's school to be sorted and passed out there, picked up from a Knowledge Tree store, or shipped to your home, having your child's Kit labeled with their name makes it easier for everyone to keep track whose Kit it is.

 

I can't find my child's school in the Find Your School list. Why is that?

We reach out to dozens of schools every year in regards to our Pre-Packed School Supply Kit program. Unfortunately, not all schools reply. If we do not hear back from your child’s school, a Pre-Packed School Supply Kit will not be available. Some schools may also require a release date, meaning they decide when we start selling the Pre-Packed School Supply Kits and when the last day to buy Pre-Packed School Supply Kits will be. Please reach out to your school to see if they are participating in this year’s Kidz School Box Pre-Packed School Supply Kit program with Knowledge Tree.

 

Can I ask for specific colors on supplies?

Unfortunately, due to the high, seasonal demand for Pre-Packed School Supply Kits, we cannot accommodate specific color requests for school supplies.

 

How long until my child’s Pre-Packed School Supply Kit will be ready and how will I be notified?

Pre-Packed School Supply Kits are typically made in bulk. Depending on the method of delivery, your child's Kit will be ready:

- For School Pick Up: Your Kit will be ready around registration time.

- For Delivery to a Residence: It may take an estimated two weeks for your Kit to arrive. You will receive an email when your Pre-Packed School Supply Kit is shipped.

- For Store Pick Up: It will take up to two weeks for your Kit to be built and delivered to its designated Knowledge Tree store. You will receive a phone call when your Kit is ready for pick up at the store.

 

What if the Pre-Packed School Supply Kit for my child is sold out?

Unfortunately, due to high demand, we do have order cutoff dates for every school. We try to give each parent or guardian enough time to purchase a Pre-Packed School Supply Kit for their child. If you have missed the order deadline, we encourage you to bring a printed school supply list to any of our Knowledge Tree locations and we can help you shop for your school supplies at the store.

 

Can someone else pick up my child’s Pre-Packed School Supply Kit?

Absolutely! Please leave a note in the comment section of your order to let us know the name of the person who will be picking up your child’s Pre-Packed School Supply Kit. If you have already placed your order, please contact our Kidz School Box Customer Service representative at KidzSupport@TheKnowledgeTree.com.

 

What if my child switched schools?

If your child has switched schools, please contact our Kidz School Box Customer Service representative at KidzSupport@TheKnowledgeTree.com. We will do our best to switch out your Pre-Packed School Supply Kit with one from the updated school.

 

Does my purchase of a Pre-Packed School Supply Kit benefit my child's school?

Many of our schools use our Pre-Packed School Supply Kit program as a fundraiser for the school, and receive a portion of the Kit sales proceeds.

 

How do I return my child’s Pre-Packed School Supply Kit?

In the event that you need to return a Pre-Packed School Supply Kit, please reach out to our Kidz School Box Customer Service representative at KidzSupport@TheKnowledgeTree.com. Please be sure to provide your ticket number (this should be found in your Thank You email) with your name, phone number, and school name. When returning a Pre-Packed School Supply Kit, ALL items must be present in the box. Full refunds may take up to 5 - 7 business days after the Pre-Packed School Supply Kit has been returned.
